Who is responsible for your data

Punt Caravan Parking SL, Camí de les Vinyes 5, 17485 Vilasacra (Girona), Spain, is the controller of the personal data processed through this website and in our day-to-day work with customers.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and to look after your caravan, motorhome or boat:

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and preferred language.
• Vehicle details: type, make, length including the tow bar, registration number and notes on its condition.
• Booking details: storage type and dates, campsite, pitch number and arrival and departure dates for transport, and the services you ask for.
• Billing details: invoice name and address, tax number if you give one, and payment records.
• Messages: anything you write to us in a form, by email or on WhatsApp, and notes of phone calls about your booking.

We do not ask for sensitive data and we ask you not to send it.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD), we use your data for these purposes:

• To answer your enquiry and send you a price: your consent, which you give when you send a form or message us, and steps you ask for before a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b).
• To store, move, clean or repair your vehicle and to keep you informed about it: performance of our agreement with you (art. 6.1.b).
• To invoice and keep accounting and tax records: our legal obligations (art. 6.1.c).
• To keep the yard secure with HD cameras: our legitimate interest in protecting the vehicles in our care and our premises (art. 6.1.f).

We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling, and we only send you service messages, never newsletters you did not ask for.

Camera surveillance

The yard is watched by HD cameras for security, and the recorded area is marked with signs as Spanish law requires. Footage is only viewed when needed to investigate an incident and is deleted within 30 days, unless it is needed for the police, a court or an insurer.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 12 months after our last contact.
• Customer and booking data: for as long as you store with us, and afterwards for as long as claims can be brought.
• Invoices and accounting records: for the periods Spanish tax and commercial law requires, currently up to six years.
• Camera footage: up to 30 days.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only where it is needed:

• Service providers who help us run the business: website hosting, the service that delivers website forms to our inbox, email, our accountant and our bank. They act on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there; its own privacy terms apply to messages sent through it.
• Your insurer or a repairer, only when you ask us to or a claim requires it.
• Public authorities and courts, where the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, the transfer is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision or the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

We count page views and referral websites to understand how this site is used. These aggregate statistics are enabled by default. We store only daily totals by page and referring hostname, without tracking cookies, IP addresses or visitor identifiers. You can turn statistics off using the switch below. Your preference is saved in this browser, and existing opt-outs are respected. Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control also disables collection. Fonts and images are served from our own site.

Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own cookie and privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data when we no longer need it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a common format to pass it to someone else;
• withdraw your consent, without affecting what we did before.

Email info@punt-caravan-parking.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We answer within one month.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

We keep your data on password-protected systems that only the people who need it can access, and this website sends forms over an encrypted connection.

We update this policy when the way we work changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects you in an important way, we will tell you directly.
