Our story: how Punt Caravan Parking started
How Kerrie Fitzgerald-Rolle founded Punt Caravan Parking in Vilasacra in 2022, and how the yard works today for owners from across Europe.

Punt Caravan Parking is a caravan storage yard in Vilasacra, in the Alt Empordà on the northern Costa Brava. We opened in 2022, and today we look after more than 300 caravans, motorhomes, boats and trailers for owners from across Europe. This is a short account of who we are, why we are here and how we work.
The idea
The Costa Brava has some of the best-loved campsites in Europe. Around the Bay of Roses, in Sant Pere Pescador, Castelló d’Empúries, Empuriabrava and L’Escala, many of the same families come back year after year, and a lot of them come from a long way away: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, the UK and Ireland.
For those owners the caravan itself is the awkward part. Towing it down and back again every season means two long journeys, tolls, fuel and overnight stops. Leaving it in Spain makes a lot of sense, but only if you can trust the place it is kept and the people looking after it, and only if you can talk to them in your own language.
That is the idea behind Punt Caravan Parking, which Kerrie Fitzgerald-Rolle founded in 2022: a secure yard close to the campsites, run by people who could also move the caravans, clean them and repair them, and who could deal with customers in English, Spanish, German and French.
Why Vilasacra
Location was the first decision, and it shapes almost everything we do.
- We are two minutes from exit 4 of the AP-7, the motorway that runs from the French border down the coast. That makes us easy to reach for customers driving down, and it keeps transport times to the campsites short.
- Figueres is 10 minutes away, with its high-speed rail station, and Roses and Empuriabrava are around 15 minutes away.
- The French border is about 40 minutes north, and Girona airport about 45 minutes south, so customers who fly in can reach us easily.
Being inland, just off the motorway, also means we have the space for a proper yard, with outdoor pitches, covered pitches and an indoor storage hall.
How we work
We have kept the way we work simple.
Storage you can choose
We offer outdoor, roofed and indoor storage, priced by the length of your caravan including the tow bar. Our hall has 4.5 m of clearance and we can take units up to 12 m long. Our storage pricing page shows the current rates for each option.
Security that is planned, not left to chance
The yard is fenced and gated, with CCTV and controlled access. Visits are by appointment, so every caravan that goes in or out is expected. We explain this in more detail in what 24/7 security means at our yard.
We bring the caravan to you
You do not have to tow your caravan on Spanish roads at all. We can collect it from the campsite at the end of the season, store it through the winter and deliver it back before the next holiday. Details and zone prices are on our transport services page.
Repairs on site
Lars is our caravan technician, looking after servicing and repairs, from brakes, bearings and couplings to electrics, water, heating and gas, as well as pre-season inspections. Having a technician on site means problems found in storage can be fixed before you arrive, not after.
The team
- Kerrie Fitzgerald-Rolle, founder, looks after bookings, pricing, transport and everything to do with your storage. Languages: Spanish and English.
- Lars Rolle, caravan technician, handles servicing, repairs and inspections. Languages: Spanish, German and English.
- Adama, our seasonal specialist, works on transport during the busy start and end of the season. Languages: Spanish and French.
Between us we can usually help you in your own language, and we answer by phone, email and WhatsApp.
What comes next
Our aim is simple: to be the place owners on this stretch of coast trust with their caravan, and to keep growing only as fast as we can keep that standard. We will keep sharing practical advice on this blog, from getting a caravan ready for storage to the best places to visit once you are here.
